This means that allergies are actually causing the oil glands to get clogged and not function optimally.

Scleral Lenses, What are THOSE!

Scleral contacts are basically B I G lenses whose edges, "land", on the white part of the eye, known as the sclera. These types of lenses allow us to improve patient’s vision that otherwise cannot be fixed with other contact lenses or glasses. If you've been told in the past that you cannot wear contact lenses because of an irregular cornea or other problems, you may want to get a second opinion and ask your eye doctor about scleral contact lenses. When it comes to Dry Eye, scleral contact lenses are typically reserved for helping us manage moderate to severe dry eye disease. These eyes are stubborn and tend to resist most of the therapies we throw at them.

The Itchy and Scratchy Eye Show

Tis the season for watery, itchy, puffy, and red eyes. Every year during this time all doctors across this great land get an influx of folks suffering from the Itchy and Scratchy Show.
